Overview
The Center is a private postsecondary institution dedicated to providing quality education designed to prepare students for professional fields. Our mission is to bridge the labor gap occurring in demand occupations and to train competent professionals who are well prepared to enter the job market.

The Center has four campuses. The main campus is located in Hackensack, New Jersey and branch campuses are located in Brandon, Florida, Jacksonville, Florida, and Ewing, New Jersey.

Our institution has dedicated itself to a singular focus – educating mobile, adult professionals in the scientific discipline of Nursing. This sole focus is based on the old adage “Each man is capable of doing one thing well. If he attempts several, he will fail to achieve distinction in any.” - Plato

Educating the mobile, adult nurse requires an “open curriculum”. “An open curriculum system is one which incorporates an educational approach designed to accommodate the learning needs and career goals of students by providing flexible opportunities for entry into and exit from the educational program, and by capitalizing on their previous relevant education and experience.” -- National League of Nursing We concur with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing position that “educational mobility in nursing is the vehicle by which nurses and aspiring nurses gain new knowledge and skills through formal and informal educational offerings ... The focus of higher learning should be on the socialization of students to new professional roles and the knowledge and skills needed for these roles.”

Our curriculum prepares the mobile, adult learner by developing new and enhanced skills, expanding their knowledge base and awakening new intellectual interest, while capitalizing on the values, beliefs, and experiences (both personal and professional) that the mobile, adult learner brings to the classroom. The Center’s programs provide the education and skills for the Certified Nurse Assistant to continue their education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and the Licensed Practical Nurse to continue their education and become a Registered Nurse.

Brandon Campus
The Brandon campus has an interesting history. The Center recognized that Florida, like other states, was facing a long-standing professional healthcare shortage and believed that The Center could assist the Florida community with bridging the labor gap. The Center was not sure where to open a campus until one of its employees required hospitalization. The quality of the nursing care and compassion shown by the healthcare professionals to the employee was extraordinary. The Center believed that the nursing values and professionalism should be and must be replicated, and as such, approached Brandon Regional Hospital (the provider of the employee care) regarding sponsoring a nursing program. Brandon Regional agreed to become a clinical host providing facilities, clinical experiences and most of all a positive environment which reinforces the essence of being a nurse – caring and compassion. The Center is proud to have Brandon Regional as an inspiration for our program.

Financial Aid
The Brandon campus is approved to offer federal financial assistance to those who qualify.  Please contact the financial aid office to obtain additional information.
